With Minnesota winters here, I’m trying to figure out the best R‑value for attic and wall insulation. What numbers have you found most effective in cold, snowy regions?

For Minnesota, a good target is R-49 to R-60 in the attic and around R-20 to R-25 for walls—that’s pretty standard for cold climates and works well.
