I’m planning to insulate one of the external walls in a bedroom using insulated plasterboard. The wall height is around 2.8 m, which is taller than the standard 2.4 m boards I can get. I know it’s generally best to avoid horizontal joins where possible, but I can’t find any insulated boards in longer lengths to cover the full height in one go.
What’s the recommended way to install standard length insulated boards on a taller wall? is there a preferred method for dealing with that gap at the top or bottom, or any tips to make the join more solid and less noticeable?
