I'm in the middle of renovating a mountain cabin from the 1970s, and I just put in some new vinyl windows. After I applied closed-cell spray foam insulation, I noticed that a few of the window casings are bowing outwards. There's no indication of structural stress anywhere else, and it's happening on both floors. Could it be that the foam is shrinking and pushing against the framing?
