Seen different opinions about closed cell spray foam in attics and it seems like climate zone makes a huge difference?

Would love to hear from the insulation people here about this topic

You are right, climate zone makes a big difference with closed cell spray foam. In colder climates, it works well as both insulation and an air barrier, helping keep heat in. In hotter, humid climates, proper ventilation and moisture management become more important to avoid trapped moisture. It is worth talking to an installer who understands your local climate and building codes to make sure it is done correctly.
